I've been dying to check out this new vegan restaurant that opened a few weeks ago. It's nestled in the H Street Corridor right off 4th Street, so as expected the restaurant is small, but it gives of a chic & rustic vibe which is so cute! I treated one of my best friends for a last minute birthday dinner, and we enjoyed a variety of vegan delights.
We kicked it off with some drinks. I had the Queen of H Street, (not pictured) a tart raspberry cocktail with egg whites to create a fizzy effect and Sandra had the Paloma—we were feeling for something quite fruity so I recommend both, lol.
For appetizers, let me just say everything looked delicious it was so hard to pick, be we opted for the polenta fries and buffalo cauliflower dip. I was already getting full from the polenta fries and bread from the dip...I had to remind myself to leave some room for the main dish.
The dinner menu had everything from mushroom chick pea burgers to Seitan (chicken replacement, lol) and potatoes to truffled pot pie. Sandra played safe with her eggplant parmesan and I picked the ala pesto. I love me some pesto!
Again, I am not vegan but I highly recommend coming here. The food will definitely fill you up if that's what you're worried about! Yummmmmay :)
