I got to visit my little brother this weekend in San Antonio aka "Military Town" for his Air Force basic military training graduation. The city deeply prides on its history so most of the city is preserved for that reason and can't be renovated on the outside of the buildings in order to keep that antique, rusty look. The day I visited was actually the anniversary day for when The Alamo was seized by the Mexicans in 1836.
Anywho, aside from visiting the military base, I went to the Riverwalk, which was also a popular tourist spot in San Antonio. The whole attraction—from the hotels to restaurants were built around the riverbanks of the city.
