Washington Women in Public Relations (WWPR) is a member-based professional society cultivating and inspiring female communicators to reach their full potential in the DC market and beyond.
In FY2015, I managed WWPR’s Instagram platform with a goal to increase audience engagement and developed branding for WWPR's main flagship event, the Annual Woman of the Year awards. As part of my execution, I launched and executed Washington Women in PR’s first Instagram Takeover Series that collaborated with WWPR members to feature eight women in 2015. Grew Instagram followers by 108 percent increase starting with 146 followers in January 2015 to 304 followers in January 2016.
The takeovers have been an integral part of the Instagram’s content strategy and is still actively highlighting members of the WWPR to date.
